Rock Installation in Conway

On January 7, 2026, Carolina Upkeep LLC completed a rock installation project for a residence in Conway, SC. The work focused on the landscaping beds around the property in the Lakeside Crossing area and aimed to refresh the bed surfaces while preserving plant watering access.

We began by preparing the flat sections of the landscaping beds where the work would take place. Because these areas were level, we were able to proceed without additional grading, spreading material consistently across the surface. The flat work areas made it straightforward to achieve a uniform finished depth across each bed.

A fabric liner was placed beneath the rock in each landscaping bed as part of the standard installation. The liner was laid down on the flat surface before any rock was spread, so it sits directly under the finished two-inch layer. Installing the liner first ensures a clean separation between the soil below and the decorative surface above, and was completed throughout the specified install areas.

After the liner was in place, we spread rock to a two-inch depth across the designated beds. The rock was distributed evenly so the entire flat section achieved the specified two-inch coverage. Spreading to a consistent depth helps maintain a uniform look across the beds and ensures appearance and coverage remain even throughout the treated areas.

Where plants were already in the beds, we made precise openings in the fabric liner at each plant location. These holes were positioned so irrigation and watering could reach the soil and root zones below the liner. The openings allow water to pass through the dirt beneath the liner while the rock and liner remain in place above the soil, which preserves plant access without disturbing the finished surface.

All work was completed on the flat areas specified for this job in Lakeside Crossing. Working on these flat sections allowed us to maintain the two-inch layer consistently.
